Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg (besar punya!)
1 1/3 cup self-raising flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt (ya, garam...)
2/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius. Kalau korang pakai Fahrenheit, 350 degree camtu.
- In mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy. Ya, kembang dan gebu!
- Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt together. Kalau boleh masukkan serbuk cocoa gradually and then taste it sebab kadang-kadang serbuk cocoa ni ada yang pahit na'uzubillah!
- Mix water and vanilla together. Jadikan ianya vanilla water. Ecehcehceh...
- Remove beaters and add flour mixture to egg mixture alternately with vanilla water.
- Fold until smooth.
- Spread batter in a greased square or round baking pan. Guna mentega ataupun minyak masak.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until top of cake springs back when touched lightly. Ala-ala span gitu...
- Remove from oven and cool.
